HISTORICAL BOTTLE SOCIETY

The GGHBS was formed in 1965 by a bunch of people who loved to dig and/or collect antique bottles. They realized the hobby needed an educational and social outlet for those of us who have been bitten by the bug. In 1966 we started putting on a bottle show and each year, though times change, we strive to make it better. This year we are going to have our 43^rd show so come and celebrate with us. It will be a great show and with you there, it will be even better.

The GGHBS newsletter, "The CORKER", is the handy work of our most valuable player, Darla Antone. She tries to get it out about two weeks before each meeting. If you have any good articles, information, digging stories, ads for wanted or for sale, pass them on to Darla so she can publish them in the newsletter.

NOTE: OUR MEETINGS ARE ON THE FIRST WEDNESDAY of the months of February, April, June, October and December. No meeting in August due to vacations and December is our annual Christmas dinner.

APRIL 18, 2009
The Golden Gate Historical Bottle Society 43^rd Annual Antiques and Collectibles Show. Location is Solano County Fairgrounds in Vallejo . Dealer setup on Friday, April 17^th from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. "Early bird" on Friday 12:00pm to 6:00pm is $10.00 per person. FREE ADMISSION to the show on Saturday starting at 9:00am and will will close at 3:00pm. There will be raffle tickets sold both days and the drawing will be around 3:00pm on Saturday. You do not have to be present to win. CHRISTMAS DINNER at BERTOLA'S RESTAURANT, Martinez., 7:00pm. This is our annual Christmas dinner. There is a little bit of meeting, elections and the rest is plain fun.
